Oh yes, usability and FE become a topic then! So, my current approach (yet to be implemented)
- start for me
- find a/some first guinea pigs - ah - alpha users
- improve with them (like a community approach)
- think about money
But that only works 'cause it is a solution for me in the 1st place

Again, that heavily depends on ...
I do a project which started as "scratch your own itches" thingy (just get my bluesky bot more stable). And now I try to make it public.
But again - error and fix on assumptions + try to code as clean as possible right away while not doing premature optimisation

I am currently working on a repost-bot-platform for bluesky ;-) So there might by synergies at some point

I think they do not contradict. They're two sides of a dice (or so).
You need to be fast to see what users want. If they have "breaking feedback" you need to break the product => early optimization is not valuable.
But the (technical) foundation should be stable. The product should not break itself.

Some ni[ce|ght] coding sessions later, I have a (pretty?/initial) landing page, some basic tracking, and an Early Access Program.
The repost bot platform is getting somewhere...

Yeah, it really is. And combined with the VSC extensions it also perfectly integrates into my (work-)flows

I really like PlantUML. It provides nice means to "brainstorm" with yourself, clarify things, and understand what you are aiming for. (And all with "code")
