I knew the state-level report was going away, but I thought the national would still be published.
I used this data for my introductory macroeconomics course. It would be a shame (for much bigger reasons) if it's no longer available!

Is BLS not publishing Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) for 2026? Nothing is listed on their schedule.
Can someone with knowledge let me know (@justinwolfers.bsky.social)?

RAM is so expensive, Samsung wonβt even sell it to Samsung Due to rising prices from the "AI" bubble, Samsung Semiconductor reportedly refused a RAM order for new Galaxy phones from Samsung Electronics. By Michael Crider Staff Writer, PCWorld Dec 3, 2025 7:29 am PST
Saving this article to talk about opportunity cost with my econ 101 students.

If this were true, then the Fed should be raising interest rates to combat inflation and prevent the economy from overheating (AD>AS). Any genuine economist would know this...
Instead the administration is pushing for lower rates. I leave figuring out the discrepancy as an exercise for the reader.
I take Wikipedia for granted. Reading this Jimmy Wales interview reminded me in our Fantasyland age what a remarkable and important creation it is. True pillar of civilization. Runs on only $200 million a year. Requires our support. So Iβm finally donating. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2025/10/18/m...
The seal is for marksmanship, and the gorilla is for sand racing!
I am ashamed at how my alma mater is caving in the face of authoritarian pressure.
What you don't realize is it is actually 2,000 words that amount to "No. Absolutely not. That's a crazy idea" #IfOnly
Is he talking about his union with his wife?
I have no problem with the Packers uniform,
But I think the Steelers uniform is the ugliest uniform I have ever seen!
ICE agents are so much more lawless than the people they target.
I'm so glad that Trump restored the meritocracy.
The president just gathered the highest ranking officers in the military to tell them that he may order them to kill American citizens -- and that they better follow his orders. All in response to a series of crises that have no basis in reality.
I don't know how to yell any louder.
Waiting with bated breath to see if Trump fires someone after the GDP numbers were revised up...

This is the real defunding of police.
If we had a competent press corps they would ask Trump about what's in it. I bet he has no idea. It's pure cover after the fact.
A lo-fi bit of horse trading to bring back Obamacare subsidies for six months only to see them cut again is a bad strategy for Dems on every front.

Please, the U.S. Open asked us not to share any video of the president being booed heavily by an entire stadium, please respect their wishes, please
The more this settles in, the more its danger and gravity becomes clear.
1. This was a crime, whether under domestic law enforcement, international law or war law.
2. By its very logic, there is nothing preventing them from doing the same within the US.
3. They are bragging about it.
This is why they fired the lawyers.
Which, of course, is why heβs test-running military deployments in American cities. Eventually everybody realizes the rules no longer mean anything, and it comes down to main force.
I signed it, and so should you!
Kamala Harris at her closing campaign rally:
"Donald Trump intends to use the United States Military against American citizens who simply disagree with him."
When African Americans applied to segregated southern universities, white officials would routinely dig into their personal lives to find any semblance of dirt that they could play up to pretend they were criminals and therefore unfit to attend the school.
Not even remotely true. According to the Fed, the median and average sales prices for a home peaked in mid-2022 and have been slowly falling β despite several million migrants arriving. But due to high interest rates, the Home Price Index is still slowly rising.
So if this "anti crime" military presence is not for the benefit of DC residents, who is it for?
This is not a government for the people.
This is not a government by the people.
Endlessly credulous about the pretextual actions of an authoritarian.
It's not about mortgages.
It's not about antisemitism.
It's not about crime.
If you want to put back statues and memorials and names of Confederate traitors while tearing down museum exhibitions on slavery because they don't show the greatness of the nation... the nation whose history you're celebrating is whiteness. The kind of nationalist you are is a white nationalist.
6 months later, with armored humvees and (as of tomorrow) military personnel carrying weapons of war through the capitol, with a concentration camp built in the florida everglades, with SCOTUS and circuit courts enabling this every step of the way, i think this framing has been entirely vindicated
