Ayo Dosunmu. You will be missed π
wait why is this five stars
I have never thought about this emoji
and now I can never unthink about it π
I will be perpetually cheering you on, thanks for always being such a positive energy in the tech space!

These people really do exist and I am less online because of it π
A shame when the 99% of folks are normal and supportive and cool, but it only takes 1% to be hostile enough for me to think "internet is weird, I really gotta get outta here man"
Congrats! Having a dedicated conference for your community is so underrated, hope you have a blast! π
show me your getaway vehicle
Reginald the hawk perched on a balcony, he is the best of birds.
This is Reginald and he landed on my balcony once 2 years ago and we spent the afternoon together.
I miss him every day.
Cherish scritches above all things β€οΈ
@cutegamesclub.itch.io hi this video is AMAZING, thank you for putting all these resources together π
Those are some pretty cool keyboards, hope you have fun in Chicago! π
If you want a nice default layout, markdown-based docs, dark mode support, and built in search β i would recommend VitePress for sure π
I used to use VuePress back in the day( i think Aaron VonderHaar used that for elm-program-test.netlify.app ) but not sure the state of that project β itβs been a minute since I saw the status of that one
I think the original Vue docs from 2015 are my all time favorite! π
elm.land is built on top of Vitepress, and it was a super helpful tool that helped me focus on writing docs (instead of rolling my own elm-based doc platform, like I did with elm-spa.dev π
)
And now for registers!
@kofi.sexy i saw "BEAM" and "Elm" so you have been summoned
I donβt know if your projects are similar or not but maybe you two will become great elm-beam buddies π€·
I was given an ultimatum.
This was fun! I got 11/28 which is either better or worse Iβm not sure how I feel about it
Was that an aggressive "AND"?
I meant my post to feel like "ai is helpful sometimes and also has a significant cost to consider when working with a team"
All caps is a risky choice when agreeing with someone online π
Iβve experienced some benefits recently with AI speeding up the monotonous parts of my job AND the issue called out here is definitely the main challenge with scaling it in practice at work.
Thanks for sharing this, Ben! β€οΈ
I like the triforce logo!
Instead of power, wisdom, courage we have "make", "test", and "review" β€οΈ
I think it's dabbing??
A blue logo with a seemingly random assortment of geometric shapes within a pair of curly braces, with the text "elm-review" below it
Yo @jfmengels.bsky.social β I tried to find an elm-review tangram logo, but failed!
Here's the AI abomination that I generated, feels like a winner?
Someone should consider starting an eng podcast called βIt Dependsβ¦β
a show filled w/lukewarm takes, level-headed discourse about βthe tradeoffsβ, & examples of diff ways to solve the same problem.
Every episode ends with 3 deep breaths & a parting reminder that weβre not exactly saving lives here
Thank you both for promoting good vibes β€οΈ
QT of Loomerβs post by McCarthy was right about everything: Right wingers need to stop posting this picture. She may be crazy, but sheβs also genuinely hot and showing this to everyone in her district could end up accidentally causing her to win

today is my 40th birthday. to toot my own horn a bit, I'm the happiest, healthiest, and most successful I've ever been,Β so I'm going to indulge myself and do one of those "40 things that made me who I am" threads
so buckle up (or mute me for the next little bit π)

Elm Camp 2025 was a huge success! ποΈ
Being at an Unconf is a great re-focus on the people we impact (and gives us space to geek on tech, too)!
It pumped so much energy into the Elm community, and I'm inspired by the ideas and conversations we shared together.
See you all next summer β€οΈ
Just submitted a talk proposal for @viteconf.org 2025
(Have some exciting work I want to share with the web community completely powered by Vite 7.0)
You should submit, tooβ especially if you are a first-time speaker! β€οΈ
