As a still-very-serious Firefly fan, I approve this recasting idea.
Honestly, very little about the character would actually need to change. And then they could throw in a reverse joke like, "Jayne is a man's name."

They should recast Jayne as a buff extremely horny lesbian
So I won't get to play Ghost of Yotei until I get a new computer in 10 years that can emulate a PS5.
Yay.
Chrisjen Avasarala was without a doubt one of the breakout characters of the TV adaptation of The Expanse, thanks in large part to Shohreh Aghdashloo's fantastic performance.
I'm happy to report that she's just as fun in book form, though I'm given to understand she's less central to the books.
This sort of thing is exactly why I decided not to publish Recursed on Webnovel and a number of other similar platforms.
Supporting your favorite creators directly is best.
I hate rewriting stuff. No, seriously, I HATE rewriting stuff.
My last two (unpublished) chapters need to go. I need to rewrite them. They haven't hooked me into writing more of the story, so they won't hook readers either.
At least, that's the logic I'm going with.
Big news: the open source Linux driver for the Elgato 4K Pro Mk.2 now also supports the original 4K Pro.

My favorite line about Jim Holden from The Expanse so far:
"He has a track record of amateur press releases."
#BookSky #SciFi
Okay, Dropout needs to work on their subtitles. I was watching an old Um, Actually about Pokemon, and one of them says (of a Pokemon), "He's wearing Doc Martens."
Somehow whatever algorithm they used understood, "He's wearing Dr. Luther."
Like, there are lots of mistakes, but that one's... Lol.
Well I'm off to bed. The job search (among other things) will continue in about 8 hours.
At least, that's how "It Works on My Machine (TM)"
I just spent like 3 hours optimizing my word counting bash script for incredibly miniscule performance gains.
Also, don't look to combine ls with parallel for performance gains. For some reason it's slower than find+sort+xargs, and ls doesn't play nice with xargs for some reason?
Somehow I went from talking about coworkers to talking about my wife (with whom I have never worked like that) but like... It just happens to me a lot.
SHE DIDN'T JUST SAY THAT.
Sometimes some poor bastard will ask a question that hits the "overshare button" like, "So where did you go to school?"
And then I feel compelled to explain the cult, the home schooling, the lack of funds for higher education, etc.
TBF, my wife only wanted to know if I spoke French, but she..
It's one thing to know that a good walk is basically just as good for your cardiovascular health as running, and way easier on your knees.
It's another thing to take a walk when you used to run without it feeling like you're cheating somehow, or just doing it wrong.
Oh, I was making a joke about lawsuits in general. Massive exercises in pedantry, those.
Lol. Someone is already intentionally looking to provoke a suit over the age verification law. Someone should have told California that FOSS nerds live for two things: pedantry, and long, protracted arguments over pedantry.
I'll never run out of reasons to post this thing I wrote, will I?

Yeah, that's one of the little tidbits that inspired my post, along with the rapid proliferation of online video streaming.
"Ms. Moneypenny. That's a bit on the nose, isn't it?"
Moneypenny: [shoots Ricky Bond in the face in front of everyone]
Ms. Moneypenny's handler, speaking through her earpiece: "You did the right thing."
Secret third phase: editing, pausing to think "FUCKFUCKFUCK," editing some more
Oooohhhh... I was wondering what the head of the FCC had to do with this because I forgot about the interview thing.
My last reply was over-engineered and dumb, and so had been deleted.
Let's just say that there's certainly some overlap between the furry community and the (home-grown) adult industry.
But in any case, VR porn is, as mentioned, just one of the things keeping all that VR tech relevant.
Oh, I'm going all in on this idea.
Nerdic's Law: the usefulness, importance, and longevity of a digital technology is directly proportional to its adoption by the adult industry at large.
VR still has holdouts partly because of VR porn. Cryptocurrency sometimes gets used by some porn sites as a comparatively anonymous payment method, as it does elsewhere, so it hasn't disappeared.
But the porn industry basically never touched NFTs.
Okay, so this... this is becoming a theory.
This is gonna sound weird, but possibly the biggest tell that gen AI is trash is that the porn industry seemingly has little interest in it.
Oh, buncha people out there generating their own porn. Sure.
But almost every digital technology that actually lasted was embraced by the industry at large.
If anyone has any leads on q/a work please im like beyond desperate
Yeah, I mean you can do useful things with cement.
