Turns out it found a Mediawiki server I forgot about, and proceeded to send it 69,104 requests in 23 hours before I killed it. An average of 48 per minute.

At it's peak, it was doing one request per second. This site had roughly 5 articles.

was scrolling through my Nginx logs earlier to debug something and noticed a lot of requests from GPTBot, so I ran a simple python script to analyse it.

UK water companies should pay their fines to the government as a percentage of share capital. Will put off investors and start the process of nationalisation that they really need. Doubling the fine for every transgression should speed things up nicely, too.
