We recently visited Paris to meet French academics, parliamentary and government officials to learn about how the @assembleenationale.bsky.social's voting procedures and Written Parliamentary Questions system compare with the Commons.

However, this does undoubtedly make it challenging to predict the start time and duration of individual business items. Call lists in isolation will not have the desired impact that has been envisaged. The Committee believes they could have a knock-on effect on dynamic debate on emerging topics of national importance, and on the powers of the Chair in managing the flow of debates."
