The ‘show’ goes far beyond weeks - the Trump admin was never bargaining in good faith here, this was always the outcome they were moving towards.
The industrial war machine needs war. The Ukraine war came off the table, because Russia, so it needed a new target to keep the production lines moving.
100% - not saying not to expect better of our leaders - but he’s still the most aligned for me on virtually every other policy/position over any other option.
Kneejerk holistic “fuck that guy” over a single issue/position is exactly why we’re in this mess.
Politics is nuance, not binary.
To be clear, this is disappointing but not a “he’s lost my support” moment - the enemy of progress is perfect.
No leader will be perfect and unfortunately, as disappointing as this response is, it’s likely still much better than the opposition would have come up with.
He was doing so good… but this is a pretty major blunder. I don’t think most of 🇨🇦 is going to agree with this position at all (myself included)
