Typical environment assessments include more public consulting, the environmental ministry or an independent 3rd party, and a longer study period, approvals before construction, and so much more.
Bill 212 is disappointing. Bike lanes shouldn't be a political issue. It's sad to see the lack of transparency around Highway 413 and the flawed environment assessments too.
Environment Assements are important and this is treating it as a second thought.
