Excited to be talking #ttrpg and tabletop gaming tomorrow at www.shapeyouripswich.com.au/creators-sum...
After my talk, we're prototyping and playtesting all afternoon with some of the great creators of SEQ including Quokka Games, Delta Phase Games and members of Springfield Gamers.

Oh good my children are going to love this ๐
Photo of two Blood Bowl team box sets from Games Workshop. Skaven and Wood Elf.
I hope this doesn't awaken anything in me...
Olympic skating and Wrexham FC.
So good! Well done!
Over on a discord server, the question was posed: "If GURPS is lego, your favourite system is..."
My response:
"If GURPS is lego, Apocalypse World is going down the creek and hitting each other with sticks."
What's yours?
Have I ever told you that I believe Blood Bowl fourth edition is the best game ever made (yeah go on...)
I'm thinking of making the move to the 2026 edition of the game.
Any thoughts on that matter? Is it good? Should I fear it? Should I just keep playing the classic "living rules" with my kids?

I did look at stuff like Vaesen but it's still a bit too "slow" and not loosey-goosey enough IMO to properly handle BPRD stuff...
Last year I ran a BPRD game using Fate, it worked perfectly right out of the box.
Then we went back and did a Victorian London version.
In the latter we used the "swap 1df for 1d6" rule borrowed from Kerboros Club. It worked so well to emulate some of the bigger powers.
This is beautiful!

Oppian Wives #ttrpg is smashing along now I've cleared some mental hurdles.
Need to validate art truly is public domain, and formatting things. Art will have HEAVY mods, these are classical paintings to be messed with.
Rules bits by me, then Tory does her bits in the ancient history / background.

I will soon I'm sure, I love this so much.
There has been some analysis on this.
They typically sell to "library buyers" and only expect to sell 2 to 3 thousand copies and only through that channel. Because they are institutionally funded the cost is "irrelevant" to the buyer.
Any "retail" copies they sell to us are an unexpected bonus.
May I add, if possible please add a PoD option for those of us in the uncharted territories of the planet like Australia...
We can back your game, but when shipping adds another $30+ we all lose.
Or something... I'd love to buy more games!
Oh and if you can, Warehouse 13 and Eureka were light fun shows.
Eureka was silly but beautiful, Warehouse was a bit more "serious". They were in a shared world with like 1 or 2 episodes crossover but otherwise independent.
Yeah it was nice when Serif was independent, but now attached to Canva, ๐คฎ๐คฎ๐คฎ
I'm holding onto my affinity V2 license as long as I can.
I've heard good things about Canva Affinity but no idea how long it'll survive enshittification.
Did you ever watch Sanctuary?
It was pretty fun... got a bit off track later but don't all shows at some point?
I'm so happy to see this finally come through.
They have done an incredible job completing this work and keeping everyone engaged and happy through the journey.
It looks GREAT.
May I also suggest this cute and fun game - be Discworld witches. Help townsfolk.

I wholeheartedly agree, that's why we've moved Oppian Wives over to be more based on it.
A game about women in the ancient republic exercising soft power and wrangling difficult relationships is just too good a fit for the system ๐
Next Friday the crowdfunding campaign for my gmless horror game, Pilot Episode, will be live! If you like sitcoms and/or lovecraftian horror be sure to check it out:
