Respectfully, everybody doesn't want to see the same faces over and over again and while I get that some people are excited for this choice, I am not alone in being deflated by it

I am simply not looking forward to whatever comes next in Doctor Who. I just... all the plans I had for the new era of Black TARDIS under the TARBIS umbrella are not things i'm excited about anymore. IDK what's next but Time and Relative Blackness in Space is bigger than Who, so we STILL ouchea
The reason I chose to make #TARBIS a broader thing, and keep Black TARDIS for Doctor Who, is because I wasn't sure that I'd always want to create around Who but want TARBIS to live. I don't know if there's a future for Black TARDIS because I feel such a profound disappointment in the show

The season ain't perfect but even its worst episode is just kinda annoying and not jarring or overtly harmful—the bar is hell, mind. I haven't come away from any of the episodes but or mad, and that's sadly, a notable improvement of last season #TARBIS #DoctorWho
I plan to discuss this more in depth eventually, but I am genuinely enjoying this season! The Story & The Engine was an instant all-time fave and I'd be excited to introduce folks to the show for the first time with that episode. #TARBIS

It's so crucial to the Doctor's characterization and who he's drawn to in a companion and how they engage. RTD does not seem to be pushing this dynamic as much, or giving it much weight, even tho it is like a core dynamic he established in the modern era lol.
IDK if it's a Disney thing, but while there are so many callbacks to earlier Doctors, seasons, etc. the show seems to operate from the assumption that we do not know this mf? Like... this is not new or even surprising behavior? And Bel's response is fair but ultimately shallow.
...when like the guiding principle of the modern era of Who—and a thing RTD explicitly and aggressively reiterates in his initial run—is that the Doctor is very much This Way and needs a companion to not be This Way. They seem unwilling to let the Doctor be... on his bullshit?
