I am deeply saddened. Where else am I going to combine my two niche loves of indie rock and baseball?? Now who is going to tell me when something is the Neutral Milk Hotel of math???

Super cool! Trivia: My band had a record cover in an exhibit at Cooper Hewitt once.

It was funny how through my entire time we were still occasionally discovering games at the offices that hadn’t been updated because they made their presence very known out of nowhere.

I don’t know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is

[Titicut Follies] brought viewers into a previously closed-off place and established an important truth that Wiseman would return to in the 43 documentaries that followed: You can’t separate people from the institutions they’re part of, and their actions are shaped by them in powerful ways.

The drunk uncle theory.

You don’t argue with the casually homophobic uncle at Thanksgiving dinner to change his mind; you argue so that the closeted cousin at the kids table knows there’s safe people and better possibilities out there

Saddened to hear of the passing of Frederick Wiseman. I took a documentary film class in college, and the screenings of High School, Hospital, and Titicut Follies are burned into my brain. Incredible body of work, so influential. RIP.

also, when you are terribly mid at something, you enjoy it for its own sake instead of immediately trying to figure out how to monetize an otherwise fulfilling and enjoyable hobby. Normalize doing things simply because you enjoy them, regardless of how good (or not) you are at them.

Remember in Chicago, the REAL SUPER BOWL was beating the Packers last month. Relive that feeling every day with this shirt:

My friend @koziarz.com is telling stories about Pat Lawlor Design, the company where we worked together designing pinball machines. Good reading and not just for the photos of when I had hair that wasn’t grey.

AI for Content Authoring, Wed, Feb 18, 2026, 6:00 PM | Meetup AI is inescapable in the modern tech landscape. But so many of the use cases that people are talking about don't seem to help in typical day-to-day content struggles. This

If you are a person who works in social media, and your job requires you to manage an account on Twitter/X, please ask your boss, in writing, to verify that you are required as a responsibility of your position to be on a platform that knowingly creates and monetizes child sexual abuse material …

Oh hey friends, if you’re a Verizon customer and they are trying to give you the $20 desire for the outage the other day, DO NOT TAKE IT. You don’t have to even call them. Get onto the web chat, type in β€œagent”, tell them the outage affected your work, and say you’ve been a customer for X years.

the only thing that keeps me sane is the idea that my entire life is just a save state on a 17-year-old's galactic computer, and now he's just mashing the buttons because he's bored. any other explanation falls apart.

One of my most memorable filmgoing experiences was a screening of SΓ‘tΓ‘ntangΓ³ at Northwest Film Forum some years back. An enthralling experience. I've never been so glad I spent seven hours in a movie theatre. RIP BΓ©la Tarr.
