We face a crisis of inequality.
The gap between the haves and the have-nots is too wide.
Inequality fractures society into islands with no shared experience or connectivity.
A fairer Britain would be more prosperous and more united.
Millions of people can't afford to keep the lights on, heat their home or put food on the table.
The Chancellor can't just tell us her plan is working.
People won’t believe it unless they feel it in their pockets.
We need a bold, Labour plan to raise living standards.
As the Representation of the People Bill has been working through parliament, MPs have been calling on the government to make the bill live up to its name and give us a parliament that is representative of how we voted.
As ever, such a strange choice from the Labour leadership not to make more of the government’s genuinely impressive track record on clean tech when it’s delivering economic growth, creates a dividing line with the Tories and Reform, and could build bridges with voters lost to the Greens.

The BMA GP Committee England calls on Govt to work with them to bring general practice back from the brink of extinction www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
"This isn’t just about workload dumping, or GP autonomy. It’s about safety. It places GPs in an impossible medico-legal position."

@london.gov.uk recognises that Labour ignores progressive voters at their peril 👇
"bring it on" should be the attitude of all left wing parties to hostility by the right wing media
BREAKING: A wonderful speech from Green Party's Hannah Spencer after winning the Gorton and Denton by-election.
Congratulations!
Hunters exploit legal loopholes to kill wildlife.
I’m concerned Ministers won't review the falconry exemption.
A narrow focus on trail hunting repeats the errors of the Hunting Act.
We need a watertight ban that removes all current exemptions.
End this bloodsport for good.
GPs to vote in contract referendum as BMA rejects 2026/27 deal.
It's all about safety.
Our GPs committee in England has voted to REJECT the Government’s plans to impose changes to GP practice contracts.
We’re calling for the Govt to directly negotiate a new practice contract, as promised repeatedly by Secretary of State Wes Streeting. www.bma.org.uk/GPcontract @drkatie.bsky.social
Our successful protest yesterday outside parliament drew the attention of several MPs who were presented with our briefing and the opportunity to follow up.
Corridor care is extremely dangerous for patients and traumatising for staff - it must end NOW.

5 years ago our NHS was the best healthcare system in the world.
Today people are dying on NHS corridors - while Wes Streeting hands more NHS cash to private health companies.
We took action outside Parliament today to demand NHS investment.
“For every transfer of activity to the private sector, you are undermining the public sector…you’re undermining the NHS”
🎯 @drtonyosullivan.bsky.social is spot on.
Invest and build up our NHS so it can treat everyone.

Every day in hospitals across the country, NHS patients are being treated – or forced to wait for treatment – in corridors, waiting rooms, queuing ambulances or even store cupboards.
This can't continue. The government urgently needs to: 1/2
BREAKING: Patients & staff impacted by corridor care join MPs outside Parliament to call for govt to stop this crisis.
Each day in UK hospitals, patients are treated in corridors, waiting rooms, even store cupboards. There are 16,600 AVOIDABLE deaths every year. This must end.
Repost if you agree
Successful morning handling press for our SOS NHS Corridor care protest with @keepournhspublic.bsky.social et al.
It's a topic that's gone far too quiet lately but has a detrimental and long lasting impact on patients & staff.
16,600 AVOIDABLE deaths every year. Where's the outrage from govt??
I’m campaigning with @fbunational.bsky.social
to save Hamworthy Fire Station.
Our Fire and Rescue Service is already stretched to breaking point.
Cuts aren't cost free - they come at the expense of public safety.
Stop cuts. Save lives.
You are asking GPs to triage a tidal wave of online consultations while not providing adequate funding.
No assessment has been undertaken of the impact that mandating extended use of online consultations has on the availability of face‑to‑face appointments.
Stop worsening the digital divide.
