I've just upgraded a fully client-side react app to react 19. When should I realistically be reaching for the new transition/action based APIs?

Melatonin ever night helps me sleep a lot better

I also find the hardest nights to get to sleep are after I’ve been too tired to do anything all day. Getting some outdoors time or exercise helps with that

Apparently, there is an exactly 50% chance you win or lose either going first or second. Not only that, it is exactly even odds no matter how many bullets are in the chamber, as long as it is an even number.

I was thinking about the Russian roulette in Squid Game 2, and if there is an advantage in going first or second. I was pretty surprised at the results.

It depends how much you value the packaging. Personally I think trying to change human nature is a folly and you’re better off wrapping quality, positive content in negative / clickbait titles & thumbnails.

It’s going to be the year of make or break for RSCs. Either they can make the model friendly and grokable enough to be picked up, or devs will decide that the marginal benefits of preventing waterfalls is not worth the churn and use simpler naive approaches like loaders or tanstack query/start

I’ve been thinking for a long time about a newspaper-like layout with infinite zooming in on topics and stories, and I feel like this would be a really good way to surface summaries

If you're wondering why fonts of the same weight look thicker on your website vs. Figma, it's because Figma renders with pixel-level antialiasing while your MacBook renders fonts with subpixel-antialiasing.

You probably shouldn't turn that off to match the designs, but that's why it happens

Fwiw I read a comment on reddit from someone studying disinformation who said that while there are plenty of bots, the impact they had on changing peoples minds was pretty minor and there really are just a lot of people out there with weird political views

graphql passing variables to fragments implicitly kind of sucks. Is there a reason for this? Seems to make the whole dependency tree of fragments harder to analyse.
