For my 16th birthday, my parents took me to see Les Paul play at a little jazz club in NYC
At the show that night, we sat at a table next to Keith Richards _and Keith Richards' parents_
(Keith got up and played a song that night, and I got both their autographs on the evening's program)
Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some zen to the feed.
It makes total sense [if you believe in this outrageously false thing that I brand myself as an expert on]!
Couching "orbital data centers are feasible" as an "if you believe is feasible" is such a cowardly weasel wording for someone who is supposed to be a "science guy" jfc
You know what? Fair. Lol
I will say that as a fan of inverted video game controls, this doesn't sound too bad for me, but I can totally see why some people would hate it lol
not sure if the title's allusion to Rage Against the Machine's No Shelter lyrics is intentional, but it seems apt regardless. Much love to Minneapolis from Denver β€οΈ

It took them a week to try to come up with something and the best they got is... he got a bruise
My dad got in a minor car accident with Leon Spinks. I was there but was too young to remember.

I think Bari Weiss isn't subtle enough in her programming choices for CBS to find her useful in the long term. She's going to cause ratings to tank. The question is: does she last long enough to hire Bill Maher to CBS before she gets canned?

something i'll note is that if nuzzi ran catch-and-kill ops for rfk jr and lizza knew this prior to him being appointed as HHS, and instead of telling anyone, he decided to save it for his substack long after rfk jr had made communicable disease into federal policy, that's completely fucked

Isn't the reason Linux upended Sun is that it commoditized their business? Is the case being made here that Google and XAI are going to commoditize GPUs?
in addition to my actual human child, and my pets, I also have some 6-string children:
- 1992 Ibanez S540
- 1998 Gibson Les Paul Special
- Regal Dreadnought Acoustic (late 1950s or early 60s, been hard to pin down exactly)
- Marshall DSL40 (which is louder than the 100W solid state amps I've had)
as for me, I also was raised on blues and classic rock (Zeppelin, Stones, Beatles, Hendrix, Buddy Guy, BB King, Frank Zappa, to name a few) and then went through puberty on 90s grunge (Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc)
Yeah dude! Their full name is "King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard" ... they've put out something like 27 albums in 10 years, and each album can be an entirely different genre (classic rock, electronica, thrash metal, etc)
Flight b741 is the one I'm rocking to: music.youtube.com/playlist?lis...
These guitar tones and riffs, the backup vocals, the harmonica, the classic rock bluesy boogie feel of it all... 10/10, no notes
b! 7! 4! 1!
I can't believe it's taken me this long to discover this King Gizzard album. It's like some previously undiscovered recording archives of a superband from the late 60s / early 70s
in the spirit of keeping the names of things descriptive of what it does, while also keeping it short and easy to say.... Syncfill
OOOH OH! I can do this too!
