M. Majeris's review of NextGen 3/5: When we talk about narratives, we mention arcs, ups and downs, plot twists, character depth, tension build-up, and all those things. Unfortunately, NextGen felt mostly flat, like a conveyor line moving boxes at constant speed. For me, the most exciting thing that happened in the whole book, and frankly the one that got me into choosing to read NextGen, was a back alley chase scene in the first chapter. Even in the "ticking bomb" situations, there doesn't seem to be any urgency whatsoever. OK, you say, this might be not a thriller, so shut up. Alright, then what is it? A drama? Not really, ...
