Could also just be the type of display you're using. Some monitors have better color contrast than others.

Honestly just feels like it boils down to what type of monitor/screen and type of connection being used, at least for me. Have two identical monitors but using different types of connections and certain differences popped more on one vs the other.

Elden Ring is probably a good gateway. Has difficulty but there's multiple paths to beat the game if there's a particular boss you want to avoid. Lot of optional bosses and areas to try. Build variety and customization is high.
It feels odd seeing you struggle so much. Meanwhile my area of PA I've never had a single issue with postage at all.
