I promise there is no chance of my getting better at any instrument since I have been declared a 10/10 dunce at rhythm with no hope of physical coordination
You can play the bass much more easily using an electric piano since it is basically always just the same four notes over and over with a single hand in most songs (which is why people joke about bass players)
You play something completely different with one hand than the other which most guitarists don't do (there are exceptions) making it pretty much the hardest except maybe organ or drums
Anyway we are making it illegal for people under 30 to use the computer
The library I work at on Saturdays has no money so I'm trying to revitalize their old servers from the 2000s so the patrons can use them to print and play Roblox and this is really stymied by the fact I am trying to avoid using Windows 11 at all costs (and that Roblox doesn't work on Arch Linux)
This is the actual next release from microslop

Playing piano is one of the most difficult things so this is unlikely to work but you can probably learn to play most popular songs on the ukulele or guitar
I took violin lessons for fun for about five years and the violin teacher shamed me every day for a few years about how bad I was so I eventually quit
Apple just dropped a small army of new products in a matter of days, and while the hardware is genuinely impressive, the real story running through all of it is artificial intelligence. www.eweek.com/news/apple-a...
I am always posting about where I work including technical things like what CDN we use but absolutely no one believes me so it is fine
But they will have the last laugh when they finally prove who the one true only liberal is and eliminate all the rest of the fakers forever
computers should be understandable, but usable without understanding
it's kinda paradoxical though because the moment you start "dumbing things down" you make it harder to truly understand. how do you simplify something without making it less powerful, or more opaque?
I applied for a non profit one time because I wanted to get experience working with archive data and it was an "entry level" position where they expected me to have 10 years of working with email servers including knowing how to manage all 5 of the Google email specific DNS entries manually

We're in the dystopian cyberpunk timeline where generative AI written articles are being scraped and rewritten by other generative AIs.
What's actually terrifying is the fact that so many people *did not fact check this*.

Counterpoint: VCs prefer to fund companies full of people that think they are the Chosen One, maybe because of Peter Thiels obsession with the Antichrist
I’m familiar with enough history to intellectually know that there’s no point where things are so bad that they have to start getting better. Things can just get worse indefinitely.
But it’s only lately that I’m really starting to viscerally understand it
reproducible builds were hard for a long time too, until the engineering effort was spent to make it easier
actually maybe it's less of a solved problem than I thought heh wiki.debian.org/Reproducible...
> Reproducible builds of Debian as a whole is still not a reality
I think Nix is the only one that really focuses on that.
Not my area though.
A bunch of games that were all just cannabalized into other games in some kind of game extended universe and preferably no one ever talks to me
If I do a game jam I always assume that any no AI policy applies to code generates during the jam as well
