I think AI makes it easy to generate plausible BS, but the natural stupidity is what makes it profitable.

Retired USAF officer and HS math teacher. Married grandpa. Democrat, Pro-Ukraine, Anti-Fascist. I believe the river of life flows from our ancestors through us to our descendants. Each of us is just a drop in that river. We're all in this together.

They call it the US Treasury.
Just like he did those casinos.
I never thought I'd be agreeing with Rand Paul, but he is right on target here.
Like their secret conference in Helsinki?
The new "Axis of Evil": Putin, Trump and Netanyahu.
Just look at YouTube. At least 80% BS and distortions of reality.
What Trump DID accomplish in Iran is to create a whole new generation of Muslims that hate America enough to become suicide bombers.
"Mission accomplished!!"
Yup
Maybe Elon will go the way of Mr. Pillow and Papa John. That would be a shame!! π
Trump is making this next 9-11 much more likely with what he is doing to Iran. He is destroying their Air Force, their Navy and their infrastructure. They will have nothing left but hitting back at us with terrorism. Trump is buying us another 20 years or more of terrorist attacks on the US.
Trump always claims to be the "biggest ever". Well, now he is. Trump is solely responsible for the biggest oil disruption in history. Winning!!

I was lucky. I retired in 2019 and my retirement investments really soared in the last few years. So now I have the luxury of being able to wait out the damage Trump is causing. I just hope the US will be able to recover once he is gone. No guarantees, however.
True. ALL of Trump's military adventures were unnecessary, starting with blowing up random speed boats suspected of being drug runners.
Eric Trump is the dictionary definition of "Dunning-Kruger Effect".
Netanyahu seems to be consumed by genocidal blood lust towards all Muslims, not just enemy combatants.
I agree. For example, Vanguard has the Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF (VGK) which is invested in European stocks. At the very least, investing in European stocks will diversify your investments better than just the S&P500.
Not yet, but I fear that this war will crush Iran's military but inspire thousands of Iranians to be future suicide bombers aimed at the US. I'm a lot more concerned about that than I am about my retirement account.
When the billionaires realize that Trump is crashing our economy, then maybe they will decide to cut their losses and dump Trump.
There is absolutely NO justification for attacking Cuba--they are zero threat to us, and they are not fomenting terrorism like Iran has done. That's not to say that Trump won't try.
My retirement account took a major hit Friday, and I expect more of the same today. This is when investors have to just grit their teeth and hang on. Selling during a slump just makes the loss permanent.
Trump's mantra: "It is what it is." (It's a shitstorm.)
This stupid decision to attack Iran may well be Trump's downfall. If so, then we will have to clean up the mess afterwards. Like after a major hurricane or earthquake.
Here's the problem. (needs no explanation)
"My friend Putin told me that Russia is not helping Iran, and I believe him. Why wouldn't I believe him?"
I try to nod hello to everybody I pass, both cyclists and joggers. As you said, most respond in kind, but some give me the stink eye, especially young women. I'm guessing that's because they don't want to get hit on by some creeper.
We've been saying the same thing for at least 20 years. I don't understand why the politicians have failed to act on this when it's clearly what the American public wants, regardless of their political leanings.
His ego has taken over his soul. In his mind, he is already the all-powerful emperor of the world.
I seriously doubt the school was deliberately targeted by US forces. More likely it was incompetence and carelessness.
