... And if it doesn't work out I have other options in the company. It's a big corp so no shortage of dev teams to move to.
But yeah it was a lot to take in after having this dropped out of the blue just a couple days ago ๐

...automations, integrations, and alerts for our SOC, IR and threat hunting teams. With a little bit of work for our pentesting team developing tools to help with their engagements.
So a huge change! And there's a lot that I have to learn. But I'm actually kind of excited to learn some new things..
Been a while since I last posted, life has a way of throwing huge curve balls at you. I spent a lot of last year working towards getting my CKAD cert (which I got!) but this week found out our entire department is being restructured.
I'm being moved to a new team in a new position, working on...

Also, on the drive back I saw quite a few bridges with No Kings protestors on them, it was a beautiful sight to see ๐๐ค๐ป

Back from Olympic National Park! Had an incredible time, every inch of the park is breathtakingly beautiful ๐
Pride isn't just a party. It's a call to action.

Increasing tax exemptions for tips will incentivize employers of tipped employees to push tipping even harder so they don't have to pay as much wages
A series of Tumblr posts: 1. charl0ttan: "Executive dysfunction is literally like. ive hard a random dollar on my floor for two weeks and i dont know when ill fit it in my schedule to pick it up. people dont realize this" 2. charl0ttan: "picked up the doler ๐" 3. magpiesketchins: Two screenshots showing 10 months had passed between the first and second post. "Inspirational"

Get ready for tip culture to get exponentially worse if the no-tax-on-tips nonsense gets passed
Album art for the album Lucy Gray by Envy on the Coast. It features a blue background, on the bottom left there are two black balloons with skulls on them and on the top right there is the text "Envy on the Coast Lucy Gray".
I've also identified my holy grail record: Lucy Gray by Envy on the Coast.
I love this album so damn much but there are less than 1k copies in the wild.. Pretty much everyone that has it isn't interested in selling and if they are they're asking for over $150 ๐ญ
After having a turntable for a month I'm already up to 51 records ๐ถ
It's so addicting finding new stuff to listen too and constantly browsing r/VinylDeals for huge discounts
It's always a good time to rewatch Death Note!
I usually rewatch Death Note & Full Metal Alchemist at least once a year ๐
Thanks!
Yeah I'm very excited, we did our honeymoon up in Bellingham and got to spend a day driving through the park and have been itching to go back ever since. Such a gorgeous place. Will definitely check those places out!
Already have a couple of hikes and some sightseeing around the penninsula planned, but curious to learn if there are any hidden gems out there that are easy to miss!
Going on a road trip with my wife and 3yo to WA in a week. Will mostly be in the Clallam area around Port Angeles/Olympic NP.
Would love some recs on cool stuff to see/do from anyone familiar with the area ๐โค๏ธ

The new Sleep Token album is the only thing keeping me going right now

Like I'm all for including stakeholders in conversations so I can be sure what I'm working on is actually what they need but holy shit sometimes it makes me want to bang my head against my desk
Gotta love when you're in a meeting with stakeholders and one guy is obsessed with the new feature being "simple" ๐
Of course I want it to be simple, devs *generally* don't go out of their way to make something complicated. It happens as a result of ever increasing business requirements.
Going on a trip to NJ for work tomorrow, and trying to explain it to my kid.
They've grasped the idea that my wife and them are taking me to the airport but I don't think they quite understand I'll be gone until Thursday lol
I'm going to miss them so much ๐ญ
A turntable stand with records on the bottom shelf, two Edifier R1280T speakers on the middle shelf, and an Audio-Technica AT-LP60 turntable on top. Resting against the wall on top of the turn table is the cover for Take Me Back To Eden by Sleep Token.
Something fun I did while away was I got a turntable ๐ I've wanted one for a long time and figured what the hell, life's short.
It's been a blast finding stuff to listen to and getting to share the experience with my wife and kid
Back in the land of the living after a much needed mental health break from social media.
I was spending waaay too much time obsessing over all the horrible shit going on and it was seriously messing with my head.
Holy crap, it's finally done.
