'They threatened to take us to Birmingham' - Fog diverts flight from Norwich Airport.
Picture shows a Ryanair aircraft.
Have these people not suffered enough?

It's a fascinating thing to watch the youth reinvent lolcats from base principles.

I used to funnily enough work for TIER who implemented this in a few markers... which they proceeded to disable after journey profits took a nosedive. Detection is easy, they've already implemented it most likely โ they just don't want to ๐

Wait a minute, how does the keyboard on iOS even work...? Does the app request a particular one?
On Android, it's entirely decoupled from the app.

the cast of Star Trek Voyager in street clothes awkwardly posing with late-90s computer hardware and consumer electronics

I still, to this day, don't understand why there isn't more work on web+ap://. This would fix such an insane amount of issues, but nobody seems to care.
"Oh, just copy the link and paste it into [your fedi app]" is garbage UX.

I think the difference here is Mastodon's API is a weird "over-the-top" thing for ActivityPub itself, whereas most things Bluesky does use standard lexicons. Like, there's no app.bsky.feed.createPost for example.

I do want to make sure we're being clear about this:
The Bluesky team maintains the same review, red-teaming, and QA processes that we always have. AI coding tools have been proving useful, but haven't changed the fundamental practices of good engineering. Human review and direction remain key.

I hate to burst your bubble, but a lot of AI dev is built with Test-Driven-Development. Write the tests, get AI to implement it, then you are able to see (on the surface) if what it made is producing the expected outputs.

random idea that i didn't think much about yet
it would be cool if the PDS could run small WASM "applets" on behalf of the users
each user gets a hourly/daily/monthly budget of core-hours of CPU and megabyte-hours of RAM and can use them on as many applets as they want

It's more they're being presented as actual GIFs now, whereas before they would pretty much be silent videos. There's an extra attribute on the record for presentation.

I see it every so often. At a guess, I'd say it's when it fails to do a DNS-over-HTTPS lookup. Throws me off at home since I have those blocked (to mitigate services using them to bypass DNS ad blockers)
