A lot of people say AI isn't very good for the world and its outputs are routinely unreliable, but these haters fail to see how it's revolutionizing how we incinerate schoolchildren.
Here's the thing. Nobody told it to convert to a percentage there. There was no reason to do that. So the problem isn't just that it can't do maths, or that it can't distinguish between a right answer and a wrong one. It's that something that can't think has the freedom to make "decisions".

But the video was posted last week to TikTok, and shows an unrelated car accident in Riyadh.

They're remote control robot (not autonomous) that scans everyone's face and they sell the data for recurring income or hand it to police when necessary. You also have your face scanned when they arrive at drop off. Door Dash recently offered an opt out for these things. Make sure you check it off

Let's say the hype is true. AI will replace 40% of workers. And it's the 60% most AI-adapted workers who will stay. Is that the final state? What happens when the next 40% are replaced? And the next? What makes you think you'll be the survivor?
Enshitification doesn't just come for consumers/workers. It comes for businesses to.
It's a trap for employers too. A company giving up its institutional ability to write code on its own terms means it'll be beholden to whatever the vendor wants to charge.
