For context, I'm white and I look shifty as fuck, but I've never been bothered by black security, whereas what I described above happens all the time, particularly to the black women in my friend group. It's one consistent example I've seen of members of an oppressed group upholding white supremacy.
I frequently attend events where I've been allowed to come and go without displaying the necessary badge by the same black security guards who have immediately gone on to harrass my black friends who are prominently displaying their badges. It happens all the time at various conventions.
I've been trying to get rid of it for at least five years, because I don't like paying a monthly fee for a program that gets worse with every update, but I still need it for the 10% of what I do where its virtually irreplaceable and for clients who insist on receiving the work in Adobe file formats.
