same again today! but now i'm out of the components so tomorrow it's probably three day-old bread and random cheese

this was my #lunch, which my young rural carnivore co-worker declared pretty attractive; said she'd never considered vegetarianism but if she HAD to do it, it might be alright if she got to eat MY food lol 🍜

i'm lucky in that i have a pretty open schedule AND it's not really racing thoughts or anxiety as much as just 'brain not tired' tho it is annoying

i spent forever frying in pans, and then eventually one dedicated pan because it was all gross from all the oil, but a tempura pot is DESIGNED FOR DEEP FRYING and it's perfect and it will change your entire LIFE ❤️

just realized that monday was the 25th anniversary of the registration of my domain name

...turned out at 40 to be a massive uterine fibroid cyst that required surgery lol

while i realize that the majority of humanity is horny af at any given moment, i'd sometimes like to just look at the cooking and baking feeds without so much unrelated thirst

i just have a weird aversion to making SPECIFIC breads and have learned to make weird approximations of basically everything—from pizza to pita to baguette—all from my one no-knead dough recipe, it's so dumb i can't even defend it it's just what i do

below is the way to amazing ciabatta but i just did the process but not the ingredients; i just threw some of my typical no-knead dough into a glass dish with some olive oil and did the folds/dust/cut process
it's not bad, totally edible, but it ain't quite ciabatta—no oil IN the dough, just ON it
an old, greasy tempura pot on an electric stove burner with the lid open showing the little drainer that returns the oil to the pot
(i always say this, but on the off chance you don't yet know, happiness is a japanese tempura pot for frying)

(the oil in my fryer is definitely, uh, let's say past fresh, but it just tastes like falafel truck falafel)
