I feel like rereading John Green novels I haven’t read since high school should be a internal red flag that maybe I’m not doing so well
Publishers like EA, Ubisoft, 2K, Take-Two etc make SO MUCH MONEY and the fact that they don't use that money to help bring new, original ideas to the market because of the chase for endless growth and profits is so sad man.
So many cool experiences they could make or fund and just don't.
EA shut down a studio to "focus" and I have to say, I don't know what these corporations want their teams focused on but I can tell you "continuous dread and anxiety for exactly this scenario" is what most a lot of teams are focused on nowadays

really, really upsetting to see what's been happening at EA over the last several months. it feels like it's every month just about, another thing shut down.

We spend years working hard, burning out, all for it to one day vanish because some guy in a suit changed his mind. And for what? A billion-dollar company to get a tax write-off? The devs at Cliffhanger deserved better, and we as both players and developer's can't stand for this anymore.
