I know this isnβt the point but thatβs a cool looking ship!
I know this isnβt the point but thatβs a cool looking ship!
I remember it well. Itβs the same rhetoric, same βtypesβ, same false concern. Just another minority target for people filled with hate.
Theyβll lose, just like they always do.
Hope wins eventually.
This.
That feels like a grossly naive take on the situation.
Absolute scum (Vote Green π)
I am so fucking sick of these anti-trans scum. This is an elected MP being harassed by a bunch of animals for internet clout.
Show them the door and #VoteGreen

I just put Fairy Liquid in the washing machine, so, you knowβ¦
Ah, but itβs completely different. You see, that was us civilising them (with mass slaughter and slavery).
Poisoning Iranian citizens so we can liberate them from their oppressors - who, for the avoidance of doubt, are the Iranian government (and no one else).

Would love to see @nicolakellywrites.bsky.social on @boldpolitics.bsky.social talking about the state of the asylum system.

βThe British immigration and asylum system, [β¦] appears to have been designed as a joint project between Franz Kafka and the Marquis de Sade.β
βa portrait of blind bureaucracy built on nightmarish illogicality and complexity, coupled with wilful cruelty which cares nothing for human suffering.β

The more you look, the more connections you see.
Seems wild that the dominant political/economic philosophy of the era has been quite ruthlessly enforced my entire life, and that pushback against this collapsing, cratering system has in recent years has been met with for real 1950s style all-media McCarthyism by press and government, hand in hand
What the Greens offer is more than a political alternative. Itβs a cultural one.
People directly engaged in politics that impact their lives, shaping their community, MPs from their neighbourhood, not shipped in from Westminster.
I think thatβs sometimes missed, but itβs the whole point.
How is this even a discussion?
Itβs an illegal war.
Shows how mired we are in the right-wing disinformation machine that this is even a debate.
So incredibly tired of psychopaths with megaphones.
Trouble with us progressive voters is we have an awfully long memory - and we donβt forget a seismic betrayal of core principles easily.
Itβs close, I can feel it in my waters π
2/ It started because, like many of us, I kept seeing the same patterns in news, politics, arguments online - and realising some us don't always have a name for what's happening.
Anchoring bias. False dilemmas. The illusory truth effect.
Once you can name it, you can see it.
We are watching a society, beaten down by years of engineered hopelessness, beginning to feel hope.
And it is absolutely joyous to see.
