To be clear I mean "repost" in the classic (real) sense, people making *new* posts with art or memes or AI-generated photography all "look at this thing I found".

Seriously we should not be having furries blindly reposting AI garbage and then not *deleting the post* when called out about it. If the AI labeller was still around it would at least dissuade rebsweets and it wouldn't look super embarrassing for everyone involved.

Media workers aren’t so much being replaced by AI systems as fed to one: Google’s gluttonous AI Overviews, which summarize articles and present them to users in one easy-to-read digest. The firm looked at data from Ahrefs tracking web traffic to 10 major tech outlets from early 2024 to early 2026. At their peak, the media companies brought in 112 million site visits per month from Google users in the US. By January of this year, that number was down to a little under 50 million — with some outlets losing over 90 percent of their traffic since the new feature rolled out. And the real sob story is tech outlet Digital Trends, which went from 8.5 million clicks a month in March 2024 to a heartbreaking 264,861 in January 2026. That’s an astonishing decline — a drop-off of 97 percent of US web traffic from Google.

This has always been the point - at some point Google realised that, despite being a search engine, they hated that people were *leaving Google to go to other websites*. Like Facebook and Twitter, they want you to stay on their websites.

I don't think I could engage in that "pretend to be an A-I" site because I would get decision paralysis on putting extreme amounts of effort into my response (especially if asked for art), or trying to commit to the bit of being extremely wrong.

argh oh man you know what this reminds me of, there was this site where you could send letters out and they'd arrive to a random receiver, "space letters" or something. It was blue and orange schemed. It lead to a lot of sweet "hey you will make it, you got this" supportive messages.

I loved how stylish the character intros were with the on-screen text. I only ever watched the first season though, wasn't sure I was captured enough by it for the second when plot beats felt pretty resolved.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
