A couple years ago I was tasked to manage a team whose apps are being spun down, and over the next year-ish we'll finally be wrapping up.
It's a situation a lot of devs never get to experience and oddly satisfying - pushing a ~15-20yr tech debt pile not just back, but off a "Won't Do" cliff.

I just killed and restarted my email because I forgot I'd burned a slow afternoon yesterday COMPLETELY zeroing out my inbox and when I looked at it just now I assumed it was broken lol.

Macbook Neo is going to be an easy recommend for friends & family. A bit better than an M1, which is still a pretty solid machine for most people. And with how Windows is going...yeah. It should be perfect for anybody who doesn't already know what they need. Wish there were 12/16GB options but 🤷♂️

I just don't understand the thinking on stuff like this. Did they really think they'd just show up and scoop all of Fortnite's playerbase on day 1? Because that's the only way they were gonna be Fortnite-big. There's not a Fortnite's worth of players just sitting around waiting for something.

I could never get into it, it's one of those games that feels like players need to 'earn' their way to the fun part, and it takes many real-time hours.
If I picked it up when I was broke and had nothing going on I could've powered through, but as an adult with entertainment options, lol fuck no.

At least I don't have ads, yeah. I use YT Music for my main music app and it's a few bucks on top of that to get YT premium so I just do that.
Still, every time I go to the main YT homepage it just feels gross, and Subscriptions has been a seemingly-forgotten sanctuary for years. :/

Looks like today they changed it to how it is on TV + Mobile, where it's a "Most Relevant" (algorithmic)-first view. Fuuuuuck you, YouTube :C
