When I first got the UK, if I wanted to go away with friends, had to land up queuing at 4am to get visas for Europe at Greek embassy. One time we drove to Calais, just to get passports stamped, as this was the easier way to go somewhere else the following month.

This is 100% in the sweet spot of family laptop/teen laptop/partner laptop.

I have a 5 year old mac I got during a redundancy that is basically this. It's the family laptop and only struggles with storage as someone who lets say I'm married too takes too many photos.
