Can confirm that if you're in the #Twitch 2K beta then streaming at 2128x980 is enough to trick it into giving you a 9000kbps H.265 encode (and mod16 compliant!)

I'd say that was pretty successful. I've halved the number of triangles in my model by removing all the unwanted parts I previously hid, or turned off with toggles and will never turn on.

I still don't feel confident in Blender, but I'm a lot happier with where the model is now!

Anyway the plan is to stream at 1936x880, so same 19.5:9 a/r as my usual ultrawide streams, but the absolute bare minimum to hit the x>1920 or y>1080 that twitch use to detect a "2K" broadcast and give me H.265@9000kbs

Ended up having the shrink the size of the game capture to make that game have a vaguely decent image quality, but I have a plan for next week, we're going to properly push the limits of abusing the twitch "2K" beta to get high bitrate at lower resolutions!

You can kinda do that now using camera props, such as the ones made by AliceLunazera, but having native support and easy configuration is gonna be so much better, especially with layer selection being an option

Looking at CachyOS (KDE), which is based on Arch but gaming focussed and supposedly easier to maintain. I've never gotten along with RedHat or RPM based distros.

I quite like Debian-based, can't deal with Gentoo any more, never tried Arch
