Anyone else remember that brief stint of time, before html5, where there was an idea we might mark websites up in pure XML and use XSLT to make them presentable?

Ken Robinson wrote a book called "finding your element" which was conceptually similar - the idea that the world's highest achievers all found their passion very early, and focused relentlessly on it

It's conceptually outrageous. But I can't see it happening - we can't 1) build a functional system for managing basic NHS records 2) provide the public with NHS appointments with less than months long lead times. So there's no way this gets executed successfully (as things stand).

Spatchcocked and roasted a chicken yesterday.
Made a stock with the carcass overnight.
Got a few meals for the dog from the extra scraps that yielded.
Now braising veal shanks in the stock + a few aromatics.
Will use that braising liquor to make a minestrone.
Then use the veal bones for more stock.

Only costs £35 for a year btw
