I'm so exhausted, trying to explain how harmful this technology really is, especially generative AI, and my concerns are almost always just handwaved away.

There also needs to be an ongoing conversation about how environmental impact creates or exacerbates already existing disabilities. Data centers literally poison the communities around them, and tend to be poorly resourced to begin with.

Technology is not unbiased, and it is willfully obtuse to pretend that tools to "help" disabled and neurodivergent people will in fact be weaponized against us. Already has been.

It's irresponsible to pretend it is neutral and objective.

It's incredibly uncomfortable to hear the advancement of (irresponsible, invasive, and overall creepy) AI tools, for example, being celebrated, while ignoring the already very real world harm being perpetuated on already the marginalized.

So far, I've heard from some great speakers over informative sessions at #axecon. At the same time, I'm deeply disappointed and concerned at ablest rhetoric and tools being pushed under the shielding language of "accessibility".

Huckabee and Carlson are both white supremacists who endorse massive violence against non white people. They have tactical differences about who should get killed first.
