as a giant nerd who was born in 1984 who finds picking faves difficult, this is pretty much impossible for me.

i feel - and say - the same (several times) about designers (all branches) who love to use genAI. a good design relies on the designer's creativity and ability to know when/where to break design rules.

i don't really play fps games and have only heard of marathon in passing (without seeing any screenshots until now too!), and dang that looks really cool

As a Filipino, I can confirm that much outsourced digital labor in the Philippines consists of "remotely faking processes described as automated." Since these workers are contractually forbidden from disclosing this work, people remain continuously surprised by this in the year of our lord 2026.

i'm an elder millennial and had rotation of 3 tapes and a schedule of what to watch and what to record on any given day. and then days when there was more than 2 shows on, it was a juggling act with picture-in-picture to watch the ones not being recorded 😅

had a haircut yesterday, but not from my usual guy (he was off) and it's been bugging me. one side was cut a little too short and even my mom can tell.

i can't really do anything about it (going back to fix it would make my hair even shorter, which i don't want), just wanted to vent about it a bit.
