you don't have to jump ship all at once. you can run multiple char apps. back in the day, I would run both MSN and yahoo messenger at once, MSN and skype, AIM at a couple points, nothing is tying you down. add friends wherever you can and use multiple until you settle. stay wherever is most fun.

adding to this post, you can start thinking about getting off discord now. they've made it clear that their long-term plan is to ruin their platform, and you probably have friends who have already been using other platforms.

I've been able to make a positive difference in many lives, because I trusted my heart. I don't want to harm people, so I don't. if just seeing me hurts someone, that's not harm I caused. I won't mistake the symptom for the cause anymore. I will call out society's failure for what it really is.

I'm gonna try not to shy away from publicity just because people would take issue with the ways I cope. I know too many wonderful people who deserve not to live in fear because of the ways they enjoy themselves in private. I wear my identity on my sleeve now, and if people hate it, sorry. it's me.

coming to terms with the fact that I'm the exact kind of messy freak that people are told should never see the light of day, and that people wring their hands about and try to justify harming.
