I’m also curious about any camera improvements. I actually think the current one works well enough for my usage, but it’s definitely one of the things that has been criticized the most on the original.
Mac models with M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, M1 Ultra, M2, and M3 support Studio Display XDR at up to 60Hz. All other Studio Display XDR features are supported.
Yeah, with 120Hz I would at least be tempted to upgrade, but it looks like none of my Macs can drive the XDR at 120Hz, so it would require more upgrades 😃
It would be nice with 120Hz and mini-LED, but not sure it’s worth the 40k upgrade 😬
Was a bit conflicted last summer when I picked up a Studio Display about whether I should wait for the rumored update. Pretty happy with my decision not to wait, it seems like it’s mostly TB5 that’s new.

Yep, at this price point, I would much rather go for the regular 17, which feels like it provides the best value in the entire lineup.

That head looks great. We have a V11, I’m not sure if it has improved since ours feels a lot plasticky, but it’s a great vacuum, we use it a lot. Just wish the build was a bit more solid.
Functionality-wise, I like our Dyson, but the build quality isn’t great for the money they’re charging.

Finished reading ”Everything but the Code” by @twostraws.bsky.social. An excellent read and probably one of the books that I’ve highlighted and bookmarked the most. Highly recommended for anyone interested in building and shipping their own apps.

So being first isnt the edge. The edge is taste, trust, distribution, and going deeper than whats obvious from a quick glance at the UI. Surface ideas get cloned. Depth is harder.
The shipping we have available today always amazes me. Ordered an engraved AirTag yesterday afternoon and got it delivered today at lunchtime.

We started watching the latest Mission: Impossible, and they reference events from the first movie, which happened 30 years ago. This made me feel old.
It has definitely made it clear how relatively isolated the community is from third-party tooling in general, and how big a difference it makes when prominent people start sharing their experience with these tools.
It’s been interesting to watch the shift in the discussion around AI tooling this past week in the iOS community. It’s gone from mainly that these tools are useless to how impressive they are.
GitHub contributions heatmap with 204 contributions in 2026, concentrated in January and early February.
Pretty happy with the progress on my side projects this year so far. I’ve intentionally tried to get something done each day, no matter how small, which seems to work better for me, instead of trying to bite off large chunks whenever I feel like I have the time.

What a great read, both visually and in content. This is actually one of the changes I didn’t expect to appreciate as much as I do in the new Reeder.
Looks nice! You could argue that we lost some of the craftsmanship with the new Liquid Glass–styled icons, but as a non-designer it has definitely become easier to make something decent that feels at home on the platform.
