Wild to think that in this streaming age there's no way to watch "The Brighton Belles" or "Stuck On You", 1993 ITV sitcoms at their most.

Well he's had a good innings
Strange. Jim never has two Sarahs at home.
this is where we learn there are no master planners. they are all tuna sandwiches
(it was thrown around a lot in discourse about the last season of Game of Thrones, in context of that one guy sprinting a distance that usually took weeks of horseback travel. "That's not realistic." "There are dragons! It's not real!" "Then it's not verisimilitudinous")
I understand it's a high-falutin' way of saying "internally consistent".
Like a dragon might not be any definition of "realistic" but it can have "verisimilitude" in a given story if it makes a certain consistent mechanical sense. Like it's always the same size, it flies at a certain speed, etc.
I agree with this but add a corollary:
Characters should only die when they are more interesting dead than alive.
Character death is boring. Character trauma is fun
Look, I'm not going to say I could beat him, but I'm pretty sure I could score at least one point in a match.
A picture of all-time badass Stagecoach Mary Fields, holding her rifle.
Happy International Women's Day!
Remember, when in doubt, do as Stagecoach Mary Fields did, and either headbutt, shoot it, set it on fire, or let your horses trample it.
"She broke more noses than any other person in central Montana."
So, implicitly?
Okay, but if they could simply "remove" those elements, how superficial must they have been to begin with
A mockup of the Blades '69 book where the 69 has been crossed out and replaced with 69 in bright purple. Below that, the bio for April Kit Walsh which reads: April Kit Walsh writes games about feelings, vulnerability, and caring for one another, including Thirsty Sword Lesbians and End of the Line. She used to be a swordfighting ballerina, but claims those days are behind her; she has absolutely no idea who that masked heroine with the sword and the tutu might be. When not writing RPGs, April is a civil liberties attorney working to protect the rights of criminal defendants, activists, journalists, and everyone else impacted by the technologies of control or empowerment. Next to the bio, the description for the $420k stretch goal: Blades '69: The Sexual Revolution The 1960s were a time when the counterculture challenged establishment norms around sex, love, family, and a person's right to choose what happens to their own body. How does this conflict manifest in Doskvol? How does the Consensus exercise control through these dimensions of human experience, and what struggles and delightful deviancies does your group want to explore? Blades '69 is a combination of a worldbuilding exercise and safety tool to help you bring themes of both real-world and fantastical sexual liberation to your game.
yeah yeah we saw all you sly posters going "Blades '68? ...just ONE off."
Well we're not COWARDS. Challenge accepted!
At $420k we'll commission April Kit Walsh (designer of Thirsty Sword Lesbians) to write up... Blades '69

Not all cats are lap cats.
One of ours likes a lap. The other rarely does, and usually only if a pillow is present as a buffer. He used to like to squirm down *under* your legs. Nowadays he's more often on the arm of the chair.
They're unique creatures with their own weird preferences.
I had a theory about part of the point of BlueSky being to get the At Protocol off the ground, so I guess it's nice to see other services adopting it
Geoff Johns did A LOT of work re-habbing Hal. We thank him for his service and politely ask he stay in Hollywood forever.
NOW - if we want to talk Jones comics that feel REALLY skeevy now - let's talk about Prime, the Shazam-analogue character, or the young adult runaway team Freex
Geoff Johns retconning that Graxosian "years" are extremely long - IIRC they're like Earth decades or even centuries, so 13-"year"-old Arisia was much older than Hal rather than younger - helps a little but not a lot.
Ugh, well, Arisia.
Arisia using the ring to age herself and date Hal long pre-dates Jones' work on the title - that was Englehart in the 80s. IIRC she shows up a few times but mostly as an ex or a Complication, not a romantic interest as such.
Not that that makes it any less sketchy IMO.
Oh, THAT unpleasantness.
Yeah, I had a heavy emotional investment in a lot of his work which now is extremely regrettable.
(.... specifically. Attributing the mass-murder to an exotic influence was, well, it was what it was, but deciding it's also what turned his hair grey was A Decision)
Greying Veteran Hal was my first exposure to the character, so I'm honestly here for it. I was very disappointed when they decided an alien did it.
Like, it was probably the best patch job possible at the time, but still. Let your characters age
Okay but that is a sweet fuckin' coat.
Actually I think you'll find it should be "Thunderbirds Are Going"
I've said before, my main introduction to Hal Jordan was in the old, tired white temples era pre-Emerald Twilight, so I'm very here for this Hal youtu.be/Z1jcPlGXnMo
This is the weirdest Muppet Show episode I've seen today
They're larger than a Babadook, but only available online
Generous of them to offer SEct EdEditing when they are clearly too busy to do their own
I actually had not seen the new series intro for Gumball and dang, they really dig down into that data corruption chaos aesthetic www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhvC...
