The justifications of atheist meat eaters for continuing eating slaughter food - are religiously motovated, supposing misguided human superiority.
#god messed us all up, even those who reject the proposition of the existence of god.

#Cat slaves (you know you are, no reason to fight it or deny it) : some cat companionship research is going on, please consider participating in it (it's a survey)

The dairy industry is responding to the market attitudes and is setting on the trajectory of yeeting its unethical dairy production in favour of yield increasing, environmentally sustainable, non-animal-based milk protein. I'm going live to discuss this - see ya in 1 hour youtube.com/live/CO6GO__...
Imagine you're standing on top of the mountain, vast space between you and anything that resembles civilisation, your belly is full, the winter sun is hitting your eyes, expanding the iris to take more and more in. A deer slowly comes up to you, nuzzling your hand. Do you pet her? Or shoot her?
To my girlies and bois who love animals but also love eating and wearing them - please consider how the actions of loving eating and wearing them reflects on the self-perception of loving them.
How come people are ok with their pets eating literal cancer????
It does not imply a requirement the need of "ingredients" the diet, rather it describes what the species is capable of digesting and metabolizing.
So where did we get the idea that we NEED to eat meat? Especially in the 21st century when almost all food has supplements in it? 2/2
In ecology & dietary science, omnivory is defined as the ability of an organism to consume & derive energy from both plant and animal sources: this is a biological classification based on feeding strategy. 1/2 ‡οΈ
I'm not on a diet, and I'm #vegan.
10 yrs ago I realised what we do to animals is wrong & I switched animal parts that I was consuming (not just food) with non-animal parts. 4 yrs ago I went on a diet to lose weight, but now I'm practicing an ethical position, I'm not on a diet, I'm vegan.
I don't have hormonal imbalance, and I'm #vegan.
Soy. Eat soy. No mammalian estrogen in soy. There is however mammalian estrogen in beef and dairy.
You are a mammal, not a plant. It had to be said.
I eat a balanced diet, and I'm vegan.
The balance comes from the nutrients we get, not from the ingredients. And there's no shame in taking a multisupplement to increase the balance, any other diet already includes supplements to be balanced anyway, I just put the capsule in my mouth directly.
I personally avoid (ick factor) and I would go for factory farmed oysters rather than wild-"caught", but yeah, I'm pretty convinced that oysters don't have subjective experience. A lot of vegans wouldn't agree tho, so idk do with that what you will.
3. I'd argue even if it will continuously exploit animals, we should still support it as an intermediary step, not for us, it wouldn't be vegan, for the carnists. Animal liberation comes in many steps & this is a big one imho. I've seen the polls - a lot of people will adopt it over slaughter meat.
I both agree and disagree with that article.
1. Some cultivated meat can be vegan (if animal cells were collected without exploitation)
2. Even when not vegan - better than current system, has the potential to replace that system, and can exist with only temporary exploitation.
1/2
Sure: accidental roadkill, freeganism (dumpster diving and food saving), cultivated meat, your grandpa passing away (should probably acquire consent from him before he dies), surgical trash, non-sentient animal meat like oysters, and of course - vegan meat. The sexual implications are not excluded.
I'm nuanced, and I'm #vegan.
I can give you a list of meats that wouldn't have ethical concerns, none of it is purchased in a grocery store. Slaughter is morally wrong, it obviously is.
This is torture.
I'm not, because if it's animal-derived but doesn't come from exploitation and slaughter of animals then in my opinion it's vegan. Most of it will come from some exploitation of animals, and therefore I'll take it as a fantastic intermediary step towards total animal liberation.
I can't wait for lab-grown meat to be wide-spread, and I'm #vegan.
Not for me, I'm fine without, I have animal liberation on my mind, and take cultivated meat to be an important intermediary step towards that goal. I also might try if it's truly exploitation-free.
Thanks, but I'm kind of a poser - it was made for me, and I never played stardew lol.
Btw I'm also vegan since 2015!
My ancestors ate meat, and I'm vegan.
Gotta love living in the 21st century when we have vegan supplements, culinary options, and scientific papers providing comfort that I won't die after 1 year on a plant-based diet.
It's not more expensive, it's not a miserable existence (c'mon, even vegan cupcakes exist), and it's not worth delaying (the gentle cute animals are at stake).
One thing every vegan will tell you - we wish we've done it sooner.
It's not totally easy (it takes real initial effort), some people ARE gonna be upset at you merely existing, and vegan cheese is not necessarily there yet.
But also let me encourage you a bit: ‡οΈ
To my girlies & bois who are afraid to go #vegan: let me affirm you a bit: ‡οΈ
Lions eat animals, and I'm still #vegan.
I don't mind, raw testicles of terrified buffaloes probably taste like absolute shit, I prefer vegan chicken nuggets.
To my disappointment - none of the copers noticed the red card. But yass, my lack of muscles came from Elwood's organic dog.
screenshot of a post on threads. text: I lift weights and I'm vegan. Building muscle is easy, being farmed is really hard. pictures: me flexing different arm and shoulder muscles, afab body.
On Threads these pictures and this post got people to claim that I have no musculature: what do you think, guys?
Imagine there are 2 possible worlds: World A: we exploit and slaughter animals for unnecessary stuff. World B: we don't exploit and slaughter animals for unnecessary stuff. Which world is more moral?
In a world where it's tough to know what is the right thing to do and what is the wrong thing to do, we all have the wisdom to discern between what we can do to prevent immorality, and what we cannot.
#bevegan
Meat eaters have a HUUUUGE win over vegans on these FIVE points!
