I feel like now more than ever, solidarity is important for all artists. They aren't going to just stop at the art you don't like. If you let them outlaw some art, the next day they will be coming after the stuff YOU draw, because the end goal is to get rid of ALL of us

The current Canadian government is trying to fast track Bill C-9, "the Combatting Hate Act" through Parliament. This bill is an attempt to squash and silence people's legal right to protest and strike.

The tactic the right is using rn is to start censoring fetishes and kinks that are generally accepted to be "bad" or "gross" by most people to slowly warm us up to the idea of censoring all sexual expression online.
