Our house is one of those homes with rounded corners nearly everywhere, so I’ve had to resort to door jambs for scratching my back, which has been a blessing in disguise, thanks to the multiple sharp corners. Helluva scratch, let me tell ya!

We’re having a late, not-so-surprise birthday celebration at our house today, with family and friends. I misread the message plastered on our wall as “Cheers to 40 Beers,” and I’m just not going to bother rereading that sign and do as it commands.

A downside of both my wife & I being home full time — me as the househusband, her as the moneymaker — is that she often receives the chaos of the child(ren) as collateral damage. She’s essentially in the trenches with me. There are no reinforcements when we’re both overstimulated to the max 😂🤪

I’ve thought about writing an overexagerated story about my grade 12 year where I won athlete of the year despite having a debilitating knee injury that effected most of my year (and life).

It makes me sound like I was an athletic specimen, but in reality I just had a very low bar to reach 🤣

That would be nice. I figured they read the first few pages and went “Nah.” lol.

Now that I’m doing the math, your reader may have expired so it was returned to the pool, which I guess is different than being unclaimed like my scenario.

I had someone claim my script then unclaim it less than 24 hours later. Not as extreme as your situation, but yes I have experienced the “unclaim” before.

The Winter Olympics can never change their time of the year because I met my wife during the 2010 Olympics, so that’s always been a memory milestone for me, and I don’t need anymore confusion in my life.

I also just want to clarify that I wholeheartedly believe in aliens and UFO’s and all that jazz and It’ll be dope the first time I actually see one.

I find it fascinating, and I look forward to whenever the fog sets in, what kind of sensory spectacle the airport will serve that day/night. I also think it’s fascinating when a jet flies overhead.

I suppose I skipped my bird-watching era and went right to plane-watching.

This is 40, I guess.

Furthermore, the fog creates otherworldly sounds when a plane is idling, taking off, or landing—just wild, unnatural sounds that make you question everything.

Also, depending on the direction of the take-off, some aircraft appear like they’re ascending/hovering at unnatural angles. It’s a trip.

After living across from a regional airport for these last 5 months, I have seen stuff that makes me understand why some folks think they see UFO’s/supernatural stuff.

This area can get super foggy, and when those intense lights on the tarmac give’r, it can create some crazy light-show phenomena.

This makes me think of this thought-provoking piece.
