Ontario elementary teachers to get spending accounts for classroom supplies starting this fall, Doug Ford says The $750 yearly spending accounts to purchase classroom supplies are believed to be a first in Canada. Critics say it shouldn’t have come to this.

It’s hard to believe that Canada not only allows the export of live horses for slaughter in other countries, but that Canada allows those horses to experience such extreme conditions when being exported. This practice must come to an end in Canada.

I can’t speak for him, but this is what I mean by allowing the process to proceed.

I love the CBC. That includes because it has had good journalists like Dhanraj. Maybe there are ways the CBC can learn from this. I don’t know for sure, but I think it’s too early to label Travis Dhanraj as disgruntled. CBC has had very good journalists. He is one of them. Let the process unfold.

I’m really enjoying this show. I’m near the end of Season 1. I can see how current times make it interesting to watch Paradise, but at least the world was completely destroyed (or was it 🤔) not by war.

What is the negative impact on students that across ON, in Catholic school boards representing 1/3 the of public ed system, students only see men, not women, as priests?

Maybe it is time for ON to stop having Catholic school boards.

Ontario takes control of York Catholic school board, keeps Peel under supervision | CBC News York Catholic District School Board is now the eighth board under provincial supervision due to what Education Minister Paul Calandra calls significant governance issues.

The Minister of Ed has taken over the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB).

While it’s controversial for any minister of ed to take over school boards (& this one has has taken over many), maybe this is an opportunity to address the anti-queer hate in the YCDSB.

My legal practice takes me across Ontario such as today in Owen Sound for a criminal case. (Approximately 10-15% of my legal practice is criminal law services including youth criminal law services.)

Owen Sound is such a nice town. Grey County is such nice area.

Students need teachers like you who care about them & who make their classrooms feel like a safe & welcoming place for them at times and like those they may not understand at young ages what is happening in the world but they can easily pick up that there’s something wrong going on.

You are one the bravest anti-fascist journalists out there.

I know that Chow is not perfect, but I’m happy that she is Mayor of Toronto. She has good values. Her leadership style includes trying to work with other government levels & relying on experts within the city management for their expertise. Ford would be a disaster as Mayor of Toronto.

I was so impressed by her leadership qualities. I like as well when she said that housing & healthcare can be nation-building projects too.

I’m in Youth Criminal Court today in Barrie, Ontario. There is this building frame structure leading from the courthouse to the waterfront. I only realized recently that this structure is actually the frame from a church that used to stand in Barrie.
