Looking up in an elaborately decorated room at the Alhambra. The walls are shades of cream and beige and covered in decorative tiles. You see the top of a Moorish arched doorway with an arched window above it that has a black metal gate on it. Above that, there's some ceramic looking decoration that's shaped like a v. At the top are 3 sets of 2 windows and an incredibly ornate honeycomb vaulted ceiling.
Insanely intricate interior
The Sala de Dos Hermanas at the Alhambra was truly amazing. I can't imagine the time it took to create this. Every surface is carved or designed.

The unusual Earth-sky collaboration was witnessed in March of 2017 in Iceland.
A misty and frozen start to the day on our dog walk to Hayeswater flanked by the Knott and Grey Crag on either side. Blue sky and the remains of a wonderful mist and cloud inversion which sit on the tops of the mountains. Now this is a tarn and no longer a reservoir it's a great location for swimming in the warmer months to come.
Saturday wander and dog walk to Hayeswater(decommissioned as a reservoir in 2014) This is a mountain glacial tarn originally dammed in 1908 to supply drinking water to the Ullswater area in the #LakeDistrict. Cold frosty morning and some mist remains on the tops

I think many of us have now found that corner where spring was lurking. It may be a muddy corner of a field where the hedgerows are beginning to come back to life but it’s worth getting your shoes mucky for. Especially on a BlueSky day like this one last week.

Photographed from directly below in a worm’s-eye perspective, this double snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis) reveals its hidden interior in full: three broad, luminous white outer tepals spread outward like wings, their silky surfaces catching the bright late-winter light. This is a repeat of Fridays post for #ColorADay #BWFri but this time in colour. Three Christmas Cactus flowers in a vertical line against a black background. The top and bottom flowers are in full bloom (present) and the middle flower is fading away (past) slowly drying out and wrinkling as it does so. The cactus flowers are a second flush the first was just before Xmas.
