Yeah The Lost Room is old but full of cool ideas. You can also try Parallels but that was not a movie, it was actually a VERY low budget web series that we hoped to turn into a TV series.
Soon, all the films in close proximity to it will also be THE THING. Within the year, all films in the registry will be THE THING.
