If it really happens I suggest Tudyk plays Jayne now and nobody even references anything about the casting swap.

My ScreenTime tracking is so drunk. Or I’ve found a way to triple my space-time before afternoon tea.

It is weird that the only vibrant colour is this one. I kinda thought we’d get more bright colours but it’s the usual muted tones and… this.

Internet Speed Test How fast is your download speed? In seconds, FAST.com's simple Internet speed test will estimate your ISP speed.

I often use fast.com these days because it’s on Netflix infra so it’s a pretty good real world indicator and it’s SOOO much cleaner to look at for a quick β€œis this connection OK?” test.

Cartoon titled "know the work rules".

The first panel, labeled "appropriate" depicts Garfield the cat in a business suit leaning around the edge of a cubicle and pointing to a woman at her desk while saying, "coffee lasagna Mondays am I right?" to which the woman responds, hands clasped together, "awww you're so funny"

The second panel, labeled "inappropriate", depicts a far side cow leaning around the edge of the same cubicle and speaking with a word bubble which contains only the shapes of the 4 cow tools. The woman fearfully picks up the

I'm teaching an opinion writing workshop next Tuesday. The workshop includes a one on one follow up Zoom where I help develop and edit a column, which is why it's priced at $350. But if you JUST want to attend the workshop, you can now audit for $100. www.elizabethspiers.com/workshops/

In May '25, a beloved Australian games website was sold off. It went dark then, a month later, rose from the dead but stuffed full of gambling links and AI authors.

It wasn't the first time, or the last time, this exact thing had happened. And it's still happening.

I’m still thinking about Albert after you shared that clip. So much of the best of it is the bit players and ensemble team. The journey, not the destination, etc…

Big batteries are now outcompeting gas in the grid – and gas-rich Western Australia is at the forefront Gas was long thought to be essential as a backup for a clean energy grid. But enormous growth in grid-scale batteries has changed the game.

Everyone says β€œwhat the fuck just happened?” on a regular basis in that show. Some people say it in awe and others in frustration. Both pretty legitimate.

β€œWe are not the same” meme, I guess.

They talk about their own stuff fairly often but they have all the greatest guests imaginable. It’s a solid β€œthese are the kinds of people who should have podcasts” because they really know their shit and they know everyone and have the respect to get anyone on as a guest.

Yes - John August (writer of Go) and Craig Mazin (writer of comedy sequels before writing Chernobyl) have had a brilliant screenwriting show for about 15 years. They just released the best book on screenwriting ever based on transcripts from the show.
