Right now we are doing what we can to resolve the issue before the pipe bursts, but it could take days to melt the ice in the pipe, while temps are this low (-16c/2f nights to -7c/18f days). ANYTHING helps, so we can get potable (drinking/cooking) water. ko-fi.com/fenana
So in the wake of the hellish storm of snow and ice that hit Pennsylvania our pipes have frozen. There is no water in the house whatsoever. We are broke and desperately need drinking & cooking water. Literally anything helps right now, as this could take days to resolve.

Alright! I just figure if the gas works, it won't click to start it without power, but a lighter would do the trick; I recall my parents doing that when we were little, so. I suppose when the time comes we'll see if I'll be able to at least cook and boil water n stuff.
Yeah I'm not sure! I don't know if we have the manual but I can try and see if I can find the one for our stove. I know our gas bill is separate from the electric, so I don't think that gets shut off with the power, but I guess we'll see.
All of this is really stressful and scary, and I'm ngl, I'm having a hard time keeping it together through this. x-x
Not really, we live in one of those old style philly townhouses/rowhouses, and our backyard is inaccessible (and it would 1000% be stolen off the front porch around here.) I have a box of those hot-handwarmers that I can wrap in towels to be safer around the snake, those will last a little I think.
we have a gas stove? IDK what the deal is if you don't have power, but if the gas still works, maybe we can use a lighter to light the stove? I don't know how all that works if I'm honest.
