Posting about urbanism and cycling in Manchester, UK and beyond. See my blog https://domcycling.com for more of this from the UK, Europe and especially the Netherlands. Green Party supporter, having finally given up on Labour. I take a lot of photos.

It is. Without speculating too much, it was definitely an older driver.
What I forgot to mention, while we were in New Brighton yesterday, a woman ran someone over at the roundabout outside the Floral Pavilion and drove away without noticing!
We didn't witness it, but we did see another driver chase after and stop them, thinking they were doing a hit and run.
I really enjoy riding there and the other way to West Kirby. I should go back and explore further, maybe do a day of it when it warms up.

Such fantastic news! I’m one of those ex-Labour voters who feel abandoned by the party and their lurch to the right. Go Greens! 🙌
Stretford Mall (nee Arndale) closes for the final time today, before the site gets redeveloped.
You may see some of these photos doing the rounds on the socials. They were ones I took, back in the late 80s, of a much more vibrant shopping mall.

Rain now, but this morning’s ride to work was lovely
The Stretford one is one of the best and isn't technically a cycling scheme, as it's part of the town centre's Future High Streets Fund scheme.
This is Liverpool Street, one of the older schemes in Salford.
