less water! more paint = opaque acrylic texture, and more water = washy watercolour texture. you can also layer it to create denser colour, but you'll want minimal water when doing this because it can reactivate the layers beneath

not me having the best gf EVER, who whenever i'm struggling to start work for the day, will open up a prompt generator and doodle 3 minute cartoon animals with me until i'm giggly and motivated and drawing doesn't feel like a big scary task anymore because oh yeah! this is fun!!
