I love that a person in a shitty wizard beard and felt hat with a broken synthesizer is doing more creative and heartfelt work than any musician on the radio.
I'm not a huge fan of dungeon synth itself, but it's probably some of the most creative, free work that is being made right now.
It existentially resists commodification. It's more punk than punk.
Is it serious? Is it a joke? Yes.
