Yep! The boats and bikes and little shack where the bored teenage workers were are all gone.

There used to be a thriving business here, the swan boats and their colorful lights would all be out until night fell all summer and now, thanks to the absolutely terrible mismanagement of the city and our shitass mayor, itβs just gone.

Denvers year without a winter has left me with the complete inability to dress properly for the day.
I may not have posted this here but my long gestating documentary podcast, Doomsday Daydreams, is out! I made it just for you and you can listen here - pod.link/1675939815
And you must. You must listen.
Ha
Hilariously, when I reached out to them to tell them they sent out the wrong link they were like "whatever. people can google it if they want." This was the end of me trying (and failing) for years to get a seat at the cool kids table.
Last year when I tried to relaunch my old audio zine, I tried to partner up with the other audio magazines out there. One of them ignored me completely and the other grudgingly put me in their newsletter. And they sent out the wrong link. To the people who ignored me.
This is a tough business!
There are three from my high school who are all about the same level of famous: Pam Grier, Don Cheadle and (sigh) TJ Miller.
So there was a live show, there's an instagram feed but now Doomsday Daydreams - the podcast - is out!

And then share it with all your friends, family, random passersby, and anyone else interested in the apocalypse. Which is probably everyone.
Turns out SPECTRE is real but James Bond isn't.

In 2005 for Halloween I dressed as a Vault Dweller, blue jumpsuit with yellow piping and various post apocalyptic accoutrement on my belt. Fallout 3 hadn't even come out yet so I spent most of the night explaining my costume. It was a pain in the ass.
there may be a slight delay in releasing Doomsday Daydreams.
Which is an astonishingly stupid sentence to have to write.
so I guess our country has been taken over by a gang of criminal pedophiles who are instituting a program of ethic cleansing.
I know every generation thinks as they age that they are living through the nadir of pop culture butβ¦
But the thing is, I believe in open borders.
This is tomorrow night! You better come! Or don't, I'm not the boss of you.

My 12 and 14 year old both got rid of Tik tok over the last couple of days with no prompting from me. So thatβs something.
Well surely this time the visiting of wanton cruelty and violence on the people will work right?
Surely Malort Mondays are still in the works though?
Yeah, I know you're right but still. It's disappointing.
There's something that kind of has been bothering me a little. I know some journalists and they tend to be smart, fair minded people who I would not describe as naive. Yet mainstream press coverage of the current administration (since 2016) tends to be pretty credulous. So where's the disconnect?
So like, 1975?
Also iβd probably just wind up recreating Jarvis Cockers Wireless Nights but you know, not as good. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b...
Itβs funny, I want to create artistic work around that, the night, being aimless, having small conversations with people. But Iβd feel like a faker now that I go to sleep around 11. Also nothings open at night anyway so it would be a lonelier experience.
