There used to be a thriving business here, the swan boats and their colorful lights would all be out until night fell all summer and now, thanks to the absolutely terrible mismanagement of the city and our shitass mayor, it’s just gone.

Hilariously, when I reached out to them to tell them they sent out the wrong link they were like "whatever. people can google it if they want." This was the end of me trying (and failing) for years to get a seat at the cool kids table.
Last year when I tried to relaunch my old audio zine, I tried to partner up with the other audio magazines out there. One of them ignored me completely and the other grudgingly put me in their newsletter. And they sent out the wrong link. To the people who ignored me.

In 2005 for Halloween I dressed as a Vault Dweller, blue jumpsuit with yellow piping and various post apocalyptic accoutrement on my belt. Fallout 3 hadn't even come out yet so I spent most of the night explaining my costume. It was a pain in the ass.

It’s funny, I want to create artistic work around that, the night, being aimless, having small conversations with people. But I’d feel like a faker now that I go to sleep around 11. Also nothings open at night anyway so it would be a lonelier experience.
