As it has become some kind of tradition in the past few years, I'm again part of #enterJS this year! As always, I'm really looking forward to this conference, because it's always full of good talks, good people – simply full of good times!
Take a look at the program at enterjs.de/index.php!
Still thinking wether to join JavaScript & Angular Days this spring? Check the schedule below and let me know if you're there!
After pausing my conference activities for the most part in 2025, I'm happy to announce that I'll be part of the @js-days.bsky.social in Munich again next year!
Take a look at javascript-days.de/javascript/c... if you're interested!
Tomorrow is the day I'm going live again! Join me live on devm.io for a talk showing all the good stuff about @svelte.dev. See you at devm.io/live-events/....

We just landed an improved version of creating context in Svelte. Type-safe and no possibility of clashing keys.
On November, 18th I'll be live on devmio/entwickler.de talking about my favorite subject: @svelte.dev
If that sounds good to you, head over to app.devm.io/Sybky8VeiXb for more details. See you there!
Can confirm. I'm close to Cologne and even though it's a bit more rural we hit like 36° yesterday as well as today.
Worth a watch:
Head of Signal, Meredith Whittaker, on so-called "agentic AI" and the difference between how it's described in the marketing and what access and control it would actually require to work as advertised.
For those of you who have been wondering if and when the videos of Svelte Summit 2025 Barcelona will be freely available, we just published a blog post about it: svelte.dev/blog/svelte-...
The @svelte.london meetup group is looking for a venue! Do you know anyone that can help out?
Same here! Looking forward to next time!
You sure about that? 🧐
So, #sveltesummit25 ist over and it really was an amazing event! I came here knowing next to nobody, but I'll leave with fond memories of all the great conversations I've had with my fellow @svelte.dev enthusiasts! Kudos to @kevinak.se for making it possible!
I remember using it a couple of times when I had to have generic types in my components. But I didn't use it in other ways.
That would be a nice addition indeed. It certainly had its weaknesses, but
export let foo: string;
was very ergonomic for declaring and typing props. Nowadays adding types to props feels like Like deadweight in a way.
This is a good point. Although for me personally, the way props have to be typed is the larger issue here. But other than that I'm really Happy with the changes overall.
Thanks, next time it'll work out for Sure 😊
Now I'm on my way to #sveltesummit25. Who'll be there?
Although I had to leave #enterJS soon after my talk, it was great as always! Had the opportunity to meet @thealexlichter.com and @mirjam-diala.bsky.social again and my talk went pretty well from my perspective. Looking forward to next time!
I'll be there at least until lunch tomorrow!
Bitte teilt diesen Artikel. Das darf nicht ignoriert werden. www.spiegel.de/wissenschaft...

I agree with that and it obviously works. Even knowing about their clickbaity nature, I find it hard to resist clicking at times.
