Iβm gonna drink beer and watch that new Netflix movie with the guy from Reacher where he fights a giant robot thing. Envy me.
Iβm right there with you. Hope for a βthe sum is greater than its partsβ scenario.
The pita thing?
So hyped for this. Go preorder, or else
The ARC Iβm working on did this weird thing where it introduced a really cool character in a really cool location with a very specific scope, and then used the next chapter to blow it all open and bring in the US government and the Vatican. Not sure if I like that direction. Time will tell.
Time to see if we get any new answers about Baby Jane Doe #ThePitt

Itβs World Book Day, so why not help bring another book into existence? We have a fun anthology in mind that could use your support on Kickstarter! www.kickstarter.com/projects/165...
I hear that. Now, older and wiser, I would have an earnest conversation with those people about what they like and try to make more pointed recommendations with the goal of exposing them to more interesting works. Or get more cultured friends.
I think these lists are hyper-focused on your βstraight, sports-loving, manly manβ archetype. Iβve been able to get a few folks like that into reading with Mistborn, Red Rising, Terminal List (ew), etc. Their tastes never really evolve past those style of books, though (sad).

3rd edit on this novella and Iβm realizing the MC is too clean. This story needs a shitbag with a heart of gold. Time to rework it again. Chop wood, carry water.
Cover of The Writhing, Verdant End, featuring a skeleton clutching binoculars, gazing upon a foreground of red-tinted writhing, ghoulish animals.

Iβm still scarred by Old Yeller 30-something years later. This just ruined Cujo for me. Gonna go let my dogs jump all over me.
Absolutely rad cover.
(Also, I have a story in this one, so set aside your dollar bucks)
