How was the trip itself? I'm hoping to go in the next year or two, assuming I can travel at that point. I'm currently trying to teach myself Japanese. After that, I'm going to fly to the moon -- I think that'll be easier. :) hehe
I think I've almost learned all of hiragana.

I have been enjoying chatting with Japanese folks while learning the language. One of them gave me a recipe for ใฑใใฃใใใฉใคใน aka Ketchup Rice! I made it this morning and it was delicious! My omuraisu didnโt work out so I turned it into French style scrambled eggs.
I went back into enterprise software development for stability. Then AI went nuts and now I just try to stay employed in some form.
Yup. I was laid off in... jesus, I can't remember whether it was 2022 or 2023. I took the job because we were heavily funded. Then the funding got pulled and I was part of the layoff wave. The second wave was 8ish months later when the studio folded.
